Dr Gilbert is a life long resident of Hazard, Kentucky. He went to Vanderbilt University and then went on to graduate from the University of Louisville Medical School. He comes from a long line of Doctors in his family. His grandfather was the late Dr. James P. Boggs and he had 2 uncles that were doctors. The late Dr. James Glen Boggs and the late Dr. Eli Boggs. Dr. Gilbert has been practicing medicine for 54 years in the Hazard/Perry County area, where he continues to serve his community and patients.
